FLO Martial Arts Stouffville

ADDING AN UPDATE to my previous review: (Now including our experience with the birthday party) Just wanted to share our experience with Flo Martial Arts and recently having our kiddo's birthday party. Though they specialize in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, the party itself involved a series of active games, obstacles, dodgeball and the absolute highlight, nerf gun wars! Our guest list was a range of 5-13 year olds, and Sarah and Coach Derrick (owners), were so accommodating in helping to plan and curate the activities specifically for our attendees to suit the ages and interests.

I don’t want to give low stars since I can’t speak to the instructors or their program, just want to say they’re not inclusive for kids with special needs if anyone was wondering.

Coming back to BJJ after an injury was harder than I expected. I was nervous, a little shaky, and honestly unsure if I’d feel like myself on the mats again. The coaches and staff at Flo Martial Arts made all the difference. Coach Derrick, Coach Solomon, and Coach Gabe are in a league of their own. Their awareness on the mats and ability to teach is incredible; they know exactly how to challenge you while keeping you safe. The staff always greet you with a smile and patiently answer a million questions, no matter how many times you ask. Big thanks to Sarah and Sophia!
